For those who sweat, stress and are consumed by their own methods of madness in creating advertising that stands out, take heart: the ADDY® Awards are back. Gather up your best and enter today. Because regardless of whatever superstition, ritual or routine you subscribe to, you can’t win the goods if you don’t play the game.

The Reno ADDY Awards showcase the area’s finest creative work that, if it stands up to the test, is forwarded on to regional and national ADDY competition.

The 9 Must-Do’s When Entering the ADDYs

  1. When preparing your entries, it is by far easier to download the rules and print them out, than trying to remember all the details from the site. It will make things much easier on you, and much easier on us.

  2. Please review your entry information in the computer. Double check contact information, category entered, credits, etc. before printing out your forms. (A)
  3. You must submit two copies of each entry.
  4. Each entry needs to be placed in a plastic sleeve (provided by a2n2) with a piece of cardboard for stiffening. (B) You can pick up your plastic sleeves and cardboard from CLM Design – contact William Letcher at 775.848.4422 or R&R Partners – contact Nicole Donald at 775.813.2397.
  5. Affix a copy of the entry number to the outside of the plastic sleeve, upper right hand corner (C) and the back of the piece being entered (D) When packaging your entry, please place the entry in the sleeve, place the cardboard behind the entry (E) and the entry form behind the cardboard (F)
  6. If you don’t pick up your sleeves early, you can get them at the drop off party. But you will be expected to complete your entries in full at that time. There will be volunteers to help, but you will be responsible for getting everything in order before you leave the party.
  7. Entries can also be dropped off anytime on Friday, January 29 at CLM Design and R&R Partners. Please include a check with full payment made out to a2n2. If you cannot drop off on Friday, please contact William or Nicole to make other arrangements.
  8. You are expected to pay for your entries when you drop them off. Please bring a check, cash, or you can pay by credit (Visa or Mastercard).
  9. Any questions you just can’t figure out the answers to – ask! It’s better to trouble shoot sooner than later. Again, you can call William Letcher (775-848-4422) or Nicole Donald (775-813-2397) with those questions, if they can’t help you they can either find out for you or direct you to someone who can.

To be eligible for consideration for an ADDY, all work must have been published or aired between January 1, 2009 and December 31, 2009

Local Rules

In addition to the national rules, the following local rules apply:

  • We will be providing clear plastic envelopes for entries into the Northern Nevada ADDYs. DO NOT BUY PLASTIC SLEEVES. Pick up plastic sleeves at CLM Design or R&R Partners
  • Although National lists brown envelopes as an option, we will not be accepting brown envelopes locally.
  • We need two originals with all documentation included when submitting entries. Due to these being in plastic envelopes there is a higher likelihood of damage and we will need the extra copy for submission to the district competition.
  • POSTERS can be submitted in a tube, rolled backwards.
  • DVD’s can be done as “auto play.”
